Yannis Kopsinis, PhD

As the LIBRA co-founder and CEO, Yannis is leading the development of the company's short- and long- term strategy. 

With a PhD in Signal Processing and Machine Learning and two decades of working experience in Machine Learning theory and its applications, as a senior research fellow and principal investigator at esteemed academic bodies in Greece, UK and Spain, he had developed solutions in a broad range of fields such as marketing, telecoms, audio, medical imaging, computer vision and Natural Language Processing. 

Being an entrepreneur in mind but a data scientist on his heart, he always finds time to push research boundaries a step further and write about it. He has a long track record of publications in the fields above, being the author of over 50 scientific and technical papers and a co-author of 3 book chapters. He has also gained several prestigious personal research grants throughout his academic and professional career, like a Marie Curie IEF fellowship and a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship.

Yannis is the one who carefully listens to our clients, outlines the appropriate roadmap for AI-driven opportunities for every single business case, and guarantees that every project is supported with efficient resources to ensure prompt delivery.

Athanasios Balomenos, PhD

Athanasios is LIBRA AI Technologies CTO and co-founder. He holds a PhD in Machine Learning and image processing -conducted with Onassis Foundation scholarship-, a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and an MSc in Computational-Biology, both granted with honors. 

He is a Senior Data Scientist and Data Engineer with a strong research background and a demonstrated history of working in the National and European R&D sector as a research associate in different Greek academic institutions. 

In LIBRA AI Technologies, he oversees the company's technological processes and plans. But besides his managerial role within the company, Thanos never stays too far away from hands-on development. He is the leading developer of several ML and AI solutions, and as a natural talent in problem-solving, he often finds the most practical solutions for data science to meet business needs.

Zisis Flokas, MSc

Zisis has joined Libra AI Technologies as a Data Engineer. He is mainly involved in building infrastructure and pipelines for data ETL processes. He is also developing NLP applications, such as Information Retrieval and Extraction, and contributing to the design and deployment of various Machine Learning models in production. 

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from the University of Piraeus, majoring in Software Engineering and Intelligence Systems. He has also received his Master's degree in Data and Web Sciences from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, focusing on Big Data technologies, Distributed Systems, NLP and Machine Learning. 

He has broad experience with different types of database systems and the design of batch and stream processing applications, which he utilizes for Libra's business partners and the European projects he is involved in, like Dig-IT.

Loizos Koutsantonis, PhD

Dr. Loizos Koutsantonis is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in Computational Sciences, holding a PhD in the field. He also possesses a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, awarded with honors, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics.

He has applied his expertise in various industrial and academic settings, particularly in Cyprus, Greece, the UK and Luxembourg. His work has focused on developing advanced algorithms and frameworks for large-scale physics simulations, tomographic and radar imaging, computer vision systems, and optimization.

In his role as a Senior Computational Scientist and HPC Software Engineer, he leverages his extensive experience in Data Science, Inverse Problems, Tomographic Image Reconstruction, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications, Parallel Computing, and Combinatorial Optimization.

At LIBRA AI Technologies,  he is responsible for overseeing the design and development of sophisticated ML/AI frameworks and algorithms ensuring their accurate, efficient and cost-effective deployment in production environments, driving innovation and operational excellence within the company.

Pantelis Mitropoulos, PhD

In Libra AI Technologies, as a Senior Developer & Data Engineer, Pantelis is mainly involved in building the backend infrastructure and services for data processing and querying.

He holds a bachelor (UoA) and a master (NTUA) degree in Physics. During his PhD in Paris 11 (Paris-Sud) on Cosmology and Particle Physics, he had the opportunity to investigate techniques of probabilistic programming for exploring large multi-dimensional parametric spaces. He has an experience of more than five years in web development as a Full Stack Engineer, with expertise in backend services and database design. He has also developed tools and libraries for data analysis, focusing on large vector geospatial datasets. Having a user experience of more than 20 years on Linux systems, lately, he has also been professionally involved in system administration and web security.

Pantelis's ambition is to constantly translate theoretical knowledge into solutions for real-world problems, designing and building applications that efficiently satisfy and surpass business and client requirements.

Stavros Stavropoulos, MSc

Stavros is a Data Visualisation analyst with a multidisciplinary background. He holds a Master’s degree in e-learning and a bachelor degree in Physics, both granted with honors. With a long experience as an engineering professional and a programming tutor, he specializes in providing visual communication of information to heterogeneous audiences. In LIBRA AI Technologies, Stavros is responsible for formatting data into ideas through clean and concise interactive dashboards. With his understandable and beautiful visualizations, Stavros helps our clients and collaborators to gain the most of our data science solutions. 

Stefi Aggelopoulou

As LIBRA AI Technologies' Financial and Administration Officer, Stefi oversees our company's finance, accounting, and administrative operations, ensuring a seamless workflow.

She has over six years of experience in accounting and customer care at a group of companies working around retail and e-commerce sectors allowing her to bring a wealth of expertise and experience to her role. She holds certifications as a Certified Administrative and Financial Manager from Private Institute I.I.E.K Delta and a Business Management and Finance diploma from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, underpinning her comprehensive understanding of financial administration.

Stefi's diligent stewardship and professionalism guarantee efficiency in clients' transactions and exceptional customer care. 

Evi Brousta, MA

Evi is LIBRA’s Branding and Communications Manager. She holds a bachelor degree in political science and public administration, from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master of Arts in Southeast European Studies. With approximately twenty years of experience, in private and public sectors, she has a deep understanding of all aspects of internal and external communications, including but not limited to strategic planning, brand management and awareness building, PR and media relations, multimedia content production, and large-scale event organization.  

In LIBRA AI Technologies Evi is the person driving all company’s outreach activities. 

Stelios Charizanis, MSc

As a senior web developer and software engineer, Stelios is committed to improving the development cycles of the Company's solutions. Focusing on back-end technologies, he is involved in designing, developing and customizing tools, procedures, and web solutions.

He has a master's degree in computer science and more than eight years of hands-on experience in cutting edge technology stacks. 

Being involved in various business projects plus developing software products from scratch as a leading developer, he can contribute whenever needed in the software development process to provide high-quality products that satisfy customers' and projects' needs

Christos Petrou, MSc

As a Data Scientist in LIBRA AI Technologies, Christos focuses on the research and development of the company’s projects in the area of Computer Vision.

With an MSc in Data Science, an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering and extensive working experience as a research fellow at esteemed academic bodies in Greece, he has competency in applying Machine Learning solutions concerning a variety of fields such as, computer vision, audio, video, medical imaging and biomedical data applications.

Christos is the one that gives life to our clients’ idea, contributing in every step of the development process, from the design to the deployment of the solution.

Giorgos Siokas, PhD

As an EU R&D and Innovation Project Manager in LIBRA AI Technologies, Georgios manages the company's tasks in EU-funded projects.

He acquired his diploma at the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He holds a PhD in Economics of Innovation and Technology from the same university. During his studies, he deepened his technical knowledge by participating in summer programs at the University of Foggia in Italy and the University of Essex in the UK.

As a researcher, he has many publications in scientific journals and international academic conferences. He is a co-author of two scholarly books on entrepreneurship and project management. His management experience is enriched by participating in various EU and national research projects.

In LIBRA AI Technologies, Georgios works closely with the project management teams, the relevant stakeholders, and the company's clients to understand their needs and ensure that each project meets its initial expectations.

Panagiotis Zogas, MEng

Panagiotis has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and expertise in Machine Learning. He joined LIBRA AI Technologies as an intern, focusing on time series analysis. Shortly after, he became a Junior Data Scientist, working on problems related to time series and A/B testing. 

Panagiotis's current role is to advance the machine learning capabilities of companies' AI-enabled business intelligence.

Eleanna Kouletou MSc.

As a junior data scientist at LIBRA Technologies, Eleanna analyses and visualizes customers’ data and implements machine learning techniques for time series and image analysis.

She holds an MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and an MSc in Data Science and Information Technologies from the University of Athens (UoA). Her diploma thesis focused on time-series forecasting and deep reinforcement learning, and her master thesis was on computer vision and object detection. Eleanna has over three years of experience in customer data analysis and visualization and in the implementation of machine-learning techniques for time series and images. She has also experience in database systems, ETL processes and geospatial tools. 

Integrating our company’s solutions, Eleanna is offering customized data exploration services and advanced Machine Learning-driven customer segmentation - persona identification to our customers.

Thodoris Siozos, MEng

As a Data Scientist at LIBRA AI Technologies, Thodoris has worked on various projects, mainly focusing on NLP applications utilizing Large Language Models and Transformers.

He holds an MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), where he focused on computer science and defended his thesis concerning the implementation of ML algorithms to compute computer energy consumption.

Thodoris is passionate about Machine Learning and computer science, eager to work on innovative technologies and highly motivated to create impactful software solutions. 

Marinos Kontaras

As a Junior Data Scientist at LIBRA AI Technologies, Marinos works on various projects, currently focusing on Explainable Marketing Analysis and NLP tasks.

He is an undergraduate student in the last year of his studies at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the National Technical University of Athens.

Marinos is an Artificial Intelligence enthusiast, eager to work on innovative technologies and provide state-of-the-art solutions based on Data Science, combining both his theoretical and programming skills.

Iraklis Skourtis

Iraklis joined Libra AI as a Junior Data Scientist and is currently working on NLP-related tasks.

He graduated from the University of Piraeus, where he studied Informatics. His thesis was about multimodal social media analysis with deep neural networks.

Iraklis is highly interested in computer vision and natural language processing and is passionate about building applications that impact the real world.

Bringing his passion to the LIBRA AI commercial and research projects, Iraklis is contributing to the company's mission to offer advanced but affordable data science solutions for all. 

Stelios Georgaras

As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer in LIBRA AI Technologies, Stelios is actively engaged in tasks related to drowsiness detection and creating useful video annotation tools.

He is pursuing an Informatics and Computer Engineering degree at the University of West Attica. His thesis centred around facial sentiment analysis using deep learning techniques.

Stelios focuses on computer vision to deliver innovative solutions leveraging state-of-the-art technologies.

Rena Dikonimaki

As a Junior Software Developer and Data Analyst at LIBRA AI, Rena is skilled in software development for both the front-end and back-end, focusing on effectively transforming data to train AI systems.

She is working towards completing her Computer Science bachelor's degree at the University of Piraeus, a journey highlighted by her thesis on implementing cutting-edge web applications.

With a solid foundation in Computer Science, Rena possesses the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure the seamless integration, scalability, security, and user-friendliness of AI systems. 

Olga Barlou

Olga Barlou started her journey at Libra AI Technologies as an intern, where she quickly proved her skills in prompt engineering. Now a Junior Data Scientist, Olga is actively involved in projects focused on Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.

She is pursuing her Electrical and Computer Engineering diploma at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Her thesis focuses on Automatic Lyric Generation with Music Supervision, reflecting her innovative approach to combining technology with creativity.

Olga is passionate about solving complex problems, and she leverages her theoretical knowledge and growing expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Natural Language Processing to contribute to LIBRA AI’s cutting-edge projects in various application areas. 

Kyriakos Sidiropoulos

As a Junior Data Engineer at LIBRA AI Technologies, Kyriakos is involved in data engineering tasks, focusing on digital transformation projects. He actively contributes to the development of ETL pipelines using a broad set of Big Data cloud technologies.

He is an undergraduate student at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Ioannina. By combining academic learning with practical application, he enhances his skills to contribute effectively to our dynamic technological environment.

Aris Koutris

Aris is an undergraduate Electrical and Computer Engineer studying at the National and Technical University of Athens. He joined LIBRA AI Technologies eager to learn and gain experience by applying his theoretical knowledge to real world problems.

Aris joined the team as an intern, working on estimation of indoor position via machine learning methods. Shortly after the end of his internship, he joined the team as a junior Machine Learning Engineer continuing his work on position estimation.

Christos Kostopoulos

Christos is an enthusiastic and creative technologist with hands-on skills in various software tools and programming languages. 

During his professional career as a front-end engineer, he has obtained valuable knowledge in building web/mobile interfaces to display interactive visual insights by developing various scalable, reusable, secure and innovative solutions. 

 As a LIBRA AI Technologies Data Visualization Engineer and highly skilled in cutting-edge data visualization tools and approaches, he aims to discover creative ways to represent data to non-technical people.  Christos has a significant contribution to the development of the INSIGHTS platform too.

Stathis Chatziloizos, BSc

Stathis joined Libra AI as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer and is presently engaged in projects involving NLP and Marketing Analytics.

He holds a BSc from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at NTUA, with a speciality in Data and Knowledge Management. His thesis revolved around leveraging Deep Learning models to predict stock market trends, as well as exploring their potential profitability.

Stathis possesses a solid theoretical foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Data Analysis and utilises these cutting-edge technologies to address real-world problems.
